Learning from our desert fathers [DESERT SERIES #6]

The desert seasons are common in the Christian life. In fact, a careful look at Scripture reveals that no one was mightily used by God until that person became deeply acquainted with the desert.

In Hebrews 11 we encounter several men and women who faced incredibly difficult circumstances, yet they were not moved to despair by the things they faced in this world.

These desert fathers and mothers remind us of some principles that will help us see the desert not as a place to escape from but as God’s intentional place to accomplish His purposes in us.

Take a listen! Hope is awakened as we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen.
