Certainly, to think that someone would end up in a place of eternal, unending judgement, is not something to be taken lightly. But it’s a subject we must grapple with because it is something that the Bible teaches. The biblical texts often referred to when arguing on the matter are complex, and despite extensive studies spanning over decades, Christians do not agree on the interpretation of the biblical material nor on the role of women in the church. The question of women’s leadership in the church is one that will likely not go away, and today I’ll try to address it from a different perspective.
